Where do I start, man oh man. The Nissan Fairlady Z (S30) also known as the Datsun 240z is one of Japan’s iconic and legendary sports car that Nissan had to offer. Finally I got the chance to do a session with one. Actually the owner is one of my team members from Team Emperor Motorsports and we had planned it for a long time but with our busy schedule we had to re-schedule again and again and again. Let us welcome Merel and his beloved Z. Please indulge yourselves on the following photos.
Probably my most favorite part of the car is the front and side profile, it shows how next level craftsmanship went into the design of the car. Merel’s Z journey began with a long search for the ONE and luckily enough, with the car Gods on his side he stumbled upon this beauty, ready to be restored to its full glory!
I think Merel’s Z is one of the 7 deadly sins members Escanor, if you watch anime that is. His favorite thing about the car is the raw handling, hearing that carbureted straight 6, manual everything and no ABS is something memorable each time he drives it. The expression you make with all that hits your face is a priceless bliss.
The car is in process of restoring and its looking beautiful nonetheless. Oh yeah, we can’t forget about the iconic Watanabe Type RS Wheels. These wheels are a thing of legends, it basically makes any car look damn good with these on them. For example, Steven Nakamura’s GT86 wields this mighty wheels.
Driving it takes you back and it really brings out the characteristic pleasures of what an automobile is supposed to feel like. It’s a time machine and the reward for it its the nostalgic bliss that fills your body and soul. Now that’s RAW.
Even the scent of the interior shoots you back to 1973, an old soul will pull you in and become different in a good way. No this is not the Devil Z from Wangan Midnight but it would awesome right?.
I really need to practice more on rolling shots, but it looks okay. Seeing this thing roll makes you a happy person, I don’t what else to say I mean just look at it. Enjoy the rest of photos.
