Which emotions does one expresses when faced with the King of the Monsters? Fear? Excitement? Happiness? Well, all of the above. As it approaches from a distance, you can feel the strong majestic aura coming from the Monster. The Nissan Skyline GT-R or better known as Godzilla (Gojira in Japanese) ruled the Motorsports all over the world, Dominating in every class. Was once just a dream for all of us here in the states, playing through Gran Turismo and watching videos was the way to go, finally Nissan unveiled its R35 model and made it available for the first time here in the states in the year 2008 and the rest is history.
Let’s take a closer look on Ryan’s Nissan GT-R Black Edition. At first glance you’ll notice the very aggressive profile, well it’s because of the VARIS body-kit that surrounds the GT-R, it is like a high-level legendary armor you find playing a RPG game. Ready to tackle the next level of challenges. The Satin Red Chrome by Avery adds a unique character to Ryan’s GT-R.
The side profile just flows perfectly with the one thing that caught my eye, it was the VARIS front fenders with carbon fiber louvers. It reminds me of gills for breathing, such a beast and you don’t see louvers on modern cars as much, majority of such louvers are from classic cars. Connecting the front fenders to the rear are Zele Side-skirts with a pair of Carbon fiber rear fenders.
Now from the back is what you’re going to see most of the time, so remember it. A very aggressive VARIS Kamikaze rear bumper with VARIS rear extensions and a Difflow Custom rear diffuser will leave an imprint in your memories as it disappears on the horizon.
Lets go back to the front for more goodies shall we? Okay, first is the Version 2 VARIS front bumper that makes you tremble with fear and takes you off focus just by looking in your rear view mirror as it pulls up steady. Second, the VARIS ’14 single canard set stabilizes Ryan’s GT-R in tandem with a VARIS front lip and diffuser (Dry Carbon). Lets not forget the VARIS dry carbon hood. A lot of weight savings if you ask me.
With all the Aero done we now move on to the footwork side of Ryan’s GT-R. Sitting on KW Coilovers you know it’s all business before pleasure. With upgraded brake rotors by Alcon this Monster will stop on a dime as the same as launching it from dead-stop. Of course all that means nothing without proper rubber, the Godzilla setup Premium Gloss black Advan GT wheels wrapped with tripple 8’s TOYO Tires (R888r) will get the job done, a proper setting for taking control of the 750hp output.
This is no ordinary wing that you see everywhere. In fact this is the HKS Technical Factory Dry carbon GT wing, only 1 out of 2 here in the states and that’s not the best part. The world-famous race car and D1 driver Nobuteru Taniguchi also know as Nob signed this rare piece of engineering. Hows that for bragging rights.
As we come to a close on my short overview of Ryan’s GT-R I truly admire the dedication and hard work that went into his build and we will definitely have a part 2 in the near future, so stay tuned.
